| Recent projects we have undertaken include: Overview of Current Policies and Practices We have undertaken comprehensive reviews of current CSR policies and the way they are implemented e.g. on the environment, health and safety, and supply chain management. Often the policies have been appropriate but organisational structures have prevented effective two way communication and implementation. The result of the reviews has been to identify and resolve these roadblocks. Codes of Conduct We have worked with clients in defining the most appropriate way of summarising and communicating their core values, to reflect their particular culture. This has included Codes of Ethics, and associated whistleblowing systems. Non-Financial Reporting and the Business Review We have designed, implemented and operated health and safety, environmental and human capital data gathering systems, working with relevant management creating systems where none existed or adapting existing processes as appropriate, and so helped our clients prepare for the Key Performance Indicators required by the Business Review. Liaison with External CSR Rating Organisations Working closely with clients and organisations which verify aspects of CSR, such as FTSE4Good, and help ensure a two- way communication flow to improve mutual understanding and ensure that a company’s CSR achievements are fully recognised. Liaison with Government We keep closely in touch with Government departments involved with CSR, and have also undertaken a case study of a new product in the foodservice area developed to address issues of health and safety and environmental performance. The review illustrated the inconsistent application of CSR related policies across central and local government departments, and CSR Consulting then contributed to a communication campaign to address the issue. External Reporting We have been closely involved with our clients’ voluntary implementation of the OFR as well as reporting on CSR as part of Corporate Governance in the Annual Report, and through stand-alone environment and/or CSR Reports; we also advise on related aspects of web design. Internal Reporting We have reviewed and amended Corporate Governance Manuals, and internal communications in media such as intranet and in-house magazines. |
